RECIPE: Tasty Blueberry Buckle

This one is a simple-to-make blueberry treat that we absolutely love.


  1. Preheat oven 375°F. 
  2. To make an egg wash, simply whisk egg and water together. 
  3. Mix ingredients together and place in a tart pan with one sheet pie dough lined on the bottom. 
  4. Using second pie dough, cut in to desired shapes and place on top. 
  5. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar. 
  6. Bake until crust is brown and berries are bubbling


  • Pie dough, prepared, two sheets 
  • 1 egg, beaten 
  • 2 tablespoons water 
  • 1 quart blueberries, fresh 
  • 1/2 cup flour 
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar 
  • Zest and juice of one orange 
  • Black pepper, pinch
