Can't stop looking at your phone?

Can't stop checking your phone? Blame your brain. Apparently, new information acts on the brain's reward system in the same way as money or food, according to a study. This explains why we can't stop looking at our phones. It's a reward we are looking for.   And just as our brains like empty calories from junk food, our brain over-values information that makes us feel good.  This also explains why we are susceptible to clickbait. We are anticipating great things, at least our brains are.
