The more parents do it, the more kids do it...

So what do kids do like us parents? Lie. Research has found that if a child is lied to by their parent repeatedly, the child grows up to lie to their parent.  Let's face it, we all fib to kids for childhood's sake. We don't want to ruin certain holidays. I'm thinking this study is more about serious lying, because these kids once grown up experience behavioral problems, guilt and shame and disruptiveness. So next time you tell your child their face is going to stay that way, or if that they don't go to sleep, the sun won't come up, you might want to consider that they may never tell you the truth when they grow up. Yikes.
