Dogs can help you live longer

October 9, 2019

If you have a dog, good news. That furry little bundle of joy that gives you unconditional love, also can lower your risk of early death. Science says so, after studying 4 million people. Dogs are even more beneficial for those at risk of a heart attack or stroke too. We already knew that dogs can help lower blood pressure levels, reduce stress, and help us all get up and walk more. Now they've added warding off risk of premature death. But wait there is more, dogs also can help reduce the risk of asthma and allergic rhinitis for kids early on. They also can improve overall well-being and alleviate social isolation in the elderly. Is there anything they can't do?  Wash themselves.
