Recess is better before ...

October 3, 2019

We all know recess is good for kids. Get their energy out, get their heart pumping. But also something else.  Research has found that recess can help a kid's appetite and behavior too. By playing before lunch, kids can work up an appetite. This also can reduce food waste. And by having kids run around before lunch, they tend to behave better during meal-time. So recess before eating, not after. I think this will work well with adults too. I think if offices scheduled recess time, it could cut down on co-workers misbehaving. And they could behave better during lunch meetings too.
