Drinking and sunning not a good mix

July 16, 2019

Next time you go out in the sun, you might want to cut back on drinking alcohol. Scientists have found a link between alcohol and sunburns. While part of the reason is when people drink, they forget to lather on sunscreen, but the other part is more concerning. Study found that after you drink, your body has lower levels of carotenoids, which help protect our bodies from the damage done by UV light.  So when out at the beach, pool, or park, remember the sunscreen and water, and cut back on the adult beverages.
