Furry Fursday: Meet Luna!

Today is Give Miami Day

November 16, 2017

Meet Luna!

Miss Luna is a 1-year-old Labrador Retriever mix who was transferred to us from the Dog Dude Ranch of Miami.  She is a happy girl who can often be found with a ball in her mouth and loves playing with all kinds of toys. Luna is a friend to everyone, and enjoys meeting new people as well as playing with other dogs. Her good mood and playful attitude are infectious, and you will find yourself smiling after spending just minutes with Luna. With such an affectionate personality, we know Luna would make a great member of any family and is only waiting to meet them. Come in today and ask for a meet and greet with Luna, a deserving and wonderful bundle of love.

Today is Give Miami Day!

Give Miami Day is one of the largest annual giving events in the Southeast United States, hosted by the Miami Foundation. Held online, Give Miami Day allows all individuals in our community to make a philanthropic impact by collectively supporting local nonprofit organizations. In 2016, Give Miami Day made history, raising $9.1 million for more than 660 local nonprofits. Over 19,000 donors spanning the city, nation and globe participated in the multi-million dollar movement.

Today is Give Miami Day! 24 hours of giving began at 12 a.m. on November 16 and will end at 12 a.m. on November 17, 2017. Any donation you make to the Humane Society of Greater Miami today helps us find homes for more than 3,300 pets a year, spay and neuter more than 16,000 pets from around the community, and educate more than 9,000 children and adults about responsible pet ownership.
