Ellen DeGeneres + fun games + primetime TV = YES!

We're pretty excited to report that NBC has just ordered 6 episodes of a primetime game show featuring Ellen DeGeneres. The new show, Ellen's Game of Games, will focus on "supersized versions" of the most popular games played on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

DeGeneres will serve as both the host and an executive producer for the new program.

“It’s going to be like a combination of American Ninja WarriorRuPaul’s Drag Race and a water park. OK, it’s nothing like that, but you should still watch," the comedian said in a release.

Of course, that means that this show is probably going to be super fun to watch. If you've ever watched her talk show, you'd know that Ellen plays some really fun games. In fact, these games are actually kind of intense. For example: in her trivia game "Know or Go" she drops contestants to the floor if they aren't able to correctly answer a trivia question.

There really is something funny about watching others fall to the ground, right? Of course, it's all in good (and safe) fun.

A premiere date for the new show has not been announced just yet, but we'll be watching.
