5 Things You Didn’t Know About The Jacksons

You know The Jacksons. You've sang along to their songs all of your life and now it's your chance to see them on Fort Lauderdale Beach the first night of Riptide Music Festival Powered by Ford! Here are some things you probably DIDN'T know about The Jacksons:

1. The Jacksons were signed to Motown Records in 1968, which many would say would mark the beginning of their professional career. This means that The Jacksons will be celebrating 50 years of performing this year at Riptide Music Festival on November 30th, 2018!

2. The Jacksons currently consists of Jackie on vocals, Tito on vocals as well as guitar, Jermaine on bass and vocals, and Marlon on vocals. Former members include Michael and Randy.

3. In 2012, Jacksons (Jackie, Jermaine, Tito, and Marlon) decided to reunite and continue their legacy as entertainers. When asked, they declared that they were raised that way, and that they will continue to perform for as long as they can.

4. When Jermaine first gave his solo career a go, he put out a competing single under the same record label as his brothers called "Word to the Badd." In the song he talked about how fame was negatively affecting Michael.

5. Marlon set himself apart when he left the industry to start his own Major Broadcasting Corporation, acted in a few movies, and even became a real estate agent for some time, before eventually reuniting with The Jacksons.
