Jennifer Lopez Gets Pumped During Workout With Alex Rodriguez and Their Kids: 'Use Your Core'

It’s said that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, with children taking on some of the traits of the parental figures in their lives.

For some kids, that may mean a love of cooking or a wicked sense of humor, but if the parental figures in your life include a World Series champion and one of the biggest pop stars on the planet, a dedication to physical fitness seems like a given.

Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez, who got engaged in March of last year, are currently isolating at their Miami home with their children. Along with teaching them how to play baseball, A-Rod has put together a home workout routine for the whole family.

In a recent post on his YouTube channel, Rodriguez laid out the framework of the 20-minute workout. First, they get their blood pumping with a 400-meter run, followed by 15 kettlebell swings, 10 pushups, then onto free weights with 15 over-shoulders, and 15 bent-rows.

Similar to a Crossfit circuit, the goal is to do the routine as many times as possible within the 20-minute timeframe.

Lopez gave some advice while lifting weights, reminding people to “use your core. Use your stomach, this is where you tighten your stomach right here.” Another pro-tip from Lopez: tighten your core when doing push-ups.

The entire workout was done outdoors, though the family also does indoor workouts regularly. Earlier this month, eagle-eyed fans spotted something a little concerning in the background of JLo's latest gym selfie: a figure in the background of the photo.

While Lopez has yet to comment on the mysterious figure, it’s clear that whoever it was, they haven’t deterred her from getting her workouts in.
