One of the bright spots in the stressful and scary time that the world is experiencing due to the coronavirus pandemic is the rush of content that artists have been sharing with their fans via social media.

On Sunday, Ariana Grande delighted fans with a breathtaking performance of her 2014 song “My Everything” that she posted on Twitter.

The 26-year-old pop star posted a black and white video of her singing the song next to a video of Tommy Brown, the song’s co-writer and co-producer, playing along on the piano. “Hope you’re all staying safe, sane, healthy and as creative as possible,” she wrote to her followers.

Fans quickly responded, thanking Grande for the performance. Grande’s mother Joan replied to the tweet, proudly proclaiming “I’m going to say it... and I don’t care... Ariana, you have the greatest voice in the world, this one and all the other ones, parallel and other universes.”

Grande’s older brother, Broadway performer Frankie Grande, also responded to the video sharing that he was crying and saying that he felt that it is “exactly what the world needed right now.”

Brown posted the video on his Instagram, with Grande commenting "love u ! let’s do needy next,” prompting fans to speculate that this may be the first of several virtual collaborations from the musicians.

This isn’t the first time she’s posted a song to soothe frazzled nerves – in late March she posted a stunning a cappella version of Whitney Houston’s “I Believe in You and Me” on social media.

Grande has also been helping fans struggling through the coronavirus crisis financially by quietly sending money via Venmo. According to reports, she’s sent cash donations of up to $1,500 to fans experiencing financial struggles.

“My Everything” is the title track of Grande’s second studio album. The sophomore album debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart in the United States and features collaborations with artists like Iggy Azaela and The Weeknd.
