Katy Perry Brings the Vacation Vibes for 'Harleys In Hawaii'

Is this the sequel you were looking for?

October 17, 2019

Katy Perry has certainly gotten grown for this new era, serving up some real talk about relationships in each peek we’ve gotten into her upcoming album.

The latest is “Harleys In Hawaii,” which find Perry holding tight for some back-of-the-bike love, in what fans are calling a sequel to 2010’s “Teenage Dream.” Over a sexy and slinky groove, Perry paints a picture of an adult vacation filled with island vibes and the curves of highways and bodies alike. Sipping from coconuts and making Cheetos look sensual, the video plays out as a perfect romantic getaway.

“Harleys In Hawaii” follows Perry’s mature relationship post-mortem, “Small Talk,” and her ode to backsliding that kicked it all off, “Never Really Over.” Katy has yet to reveal a title or release date for her upcoming LP, but it’s expect soon. The album will be her first since Witness debuted in 2017.

Also this week, Perry is fighting back in the plagiarism case that ruled against her earlier this year, having filed an appeal. It is alleged that Perry and associates copied part of a 2009 Christian rap song for her 2013 hit, “Dark Horse.” Her lawyers claim that the ruling was “a grave miscarriage of justice.”
