Happy Bey Day: Beyoncé Gives $1 Million To Black-Owned Small Businesses

Helping to strengthen small businesses and ensure economic empowerment

September 4, 2020

Beyoncé is giving back to the Black community, announcing that she will be donating $1 million in additional funds to Black-owned small businesses via her BeyGOOD foundation on Wednesday, September 2.

The iconic singer began partnering with the NAACP in July to launch the Black-Owned Small Business Impact Fund with the goal of helping to “strengthen small businesses and ensure economic empowerment for Black businesses."

The first 20 recipients were announced in August, with grants totaling $10,000 offered to each of the businesses. Round two applications are now being accepted and will be announced later this month. You can visit the NAACP website for more information on how to apply or donate.

Today, September 4 is known the world over as 'Bey Day' -- and fans are celebrating by showing their appreciation on social media...

And as you can see, Beyoncé's birthday is all of our birthdays.

Happy 'Bey Day' y'all!
